By Shannon: A full life is great, but when it’s time to include someone else in it, there is a time for review of your life and how the person can fit in or if you both make new plans that suit everyone. This tends to happen slowly not over night and some dysfunction can occur along the way. The willingness to give something up or slow down or include someone else takes over the only doing it your way or on your terms.
Problems can occur in the changeover from your full life to the full life of the two of you, and sacrifices are often made to make sure everyone remains happy. Having a fight or argument can result in sadness, but it also highlights a lot where the limits and or limitations are that have to be overcome. I do sense, it’s important to overcome these problems early on so you can make some more plans together and go forth with the plans than being stuck in a life plan that doesn’t suit both people.
Here are some tips how:
1. Compromise set your boundaries on how much you’re willing or able to give up to keep the loved one happy is it too much not enough, this is important so people feel happy making time for another and not resentful later.
2. What are the deal breakers this is important as some people break up over small things after being upset about bigger problems that weren’t dealt with. Can the smaller issue be dealt with before it becomes a deal breaker.
3. Love, when someone is ‘in love’ they seem more able to put up with or adjust to smaller things than they can if not in love. No one judges who gives up what for love, but usually some sacrifices or compromises are needed.
4. Soul alignment – feeling of belonging where you are making you more willing to follow that path as it feels right.
5. Patience, once you both decided to be together don’t forget that you are two separate people that have had two very separate lives and not trying to bring this together so immense patience can be needed and many tries to get it right. Over and over trying different things till you find a peaceful combination to make everyone feel calmer happier and at peace.
What is the cost of loving someone so much in your life? Sometimes people do not wish to give anything anymore and let the love die rather than committing more of their time and energy to the person only to feel they are not getting anything back. Most people don’t measure love like this, but sometimes if it feels one sided people tend to want out or want more given back.
While love is free, some struggle with the effect it can have on their lives if negative and yes, there is always the need to live somewhere and maybe living together can be costly financially love is not all free some living arrangement require bills to be paid. We try not to put a price on love as it is free to love someone and feel what you feel, but if the emotional toll is too high sometimes it can be a question of how much you can put into this love mostly I feel if you love someone you keep trying and don’t measure it, but sometimes it feels overwhelming to keep putting more effort in so its a evaluation of the cost of living and loving on your life.
I don’t believe there is a handbook for love so it’s a matter of working on it together to find the path to happiness and soul satisfaction, it may not always be an easy path but yes involves time and investment with the heart and soul to help you find the way together and past the limitations that may occur to get to where you both want to go with the love path and life path.
