By Ann:<\/strong><\/a><\/em><\/span><\/span> Physically they are very different. Men have a Y and X sex chromosome and women have two X chromosomes. So, men are YX, and women are XX. Some women are born with X & Y and may not realise till puberty.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am an expert in this field so I would like to focus on the differences between the sexes only. We know physically they are very different. Men are usually stronger with denser muscles and bones. Women are built to bear children. This does not mean one sex is better than the other they both have strengths and weakness for biological reasons. These differences complement each other and help us to survive. Understanding these differences can help us get along better. Why are we different? People have many different beliefs in this regard. Evolution teaches us to evolve and mutate and adapt to our environment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The bible says that God made man from the dust of the ground and made woman from a man, taking one of his ribs to form the first woman. This is not my platform to force beliefs on anyone, I just want to discuss the differences. We have established, we are different physically and sexually. We are also different emotionally. We are the same species and have different strengths to aid in our survival. We are both emotional beings which drive us mentally and intellectually, but have different ways of expressing this. Women feel men think. Women are more likely to express their feelings because men and women process emotions differently.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Men experience highs and lows, and hormones play a big part in how men and women deal with emotions and situations. Women can be a bit more complicated than men who basically are happy being fed and loved and women need to know why things are so which confuses a man. So, a man needs to understand how to open his feelings and listen to a woman\u2019s thoughts and feelings and show love. Women need to have love and respect and give some space. Next, I want to mention that men and women think differently because our brains are wired differently. Men are better at single tasks and women are better at multitasking, but there are exceptions. Men are known as the masculine and women the feminine. Generally, men want to protect, lead, and provide and women are nurturing, caring and supportive. If the man is the head, then the woman is the neck that supports the head and sometimes controls. Women love to talk about their feelings and problems and men want to fix everything. All a woman wants is to have a listening ear, not necessarily a solution or a Mr. \u201cfix-it\u201d. He is listening and trying to sort out things to help you, and she doesn\u2019t always want that because she can do this. This all takes time when getting to know someone and understanding each other. Women tend to overthink things and men can zone out and not even think of anything.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apparently, this is to rejuvenate and restore himself as he just stares into space. Women take this as he is not paying them any attention, and this is when we need to give each other space. Women do this too and like to daydream, although they talk about things more often. Men like to avoid difficult conversations and tend to not really listen, and women stop listening when they are told what to do. It is as though men and women speak a different language. Men like to be more focused, direct and to the point and women like to discuss and talk about their feelings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Women focus on the bigger picture and the details and men speak abstractly in a general way not specifics. The \u201cMe Too\u201d movement is about gender equality and how to treat each other as allies not adversaries. In the workplace, male co-workers and companies are recognizing women as individuals and have a lot to offer more so these days. More and more women are being employed in managerial positions as women work well in a team and improve the impacts on company culture and organization. Having a diverse work environment increases productivity, and creativity which is being acknowledged in the workplace and has a positive impact. So, learning about each other and accepting our differences is a good thing and helps us to all get along much better.<\/span><\/p>\n
